Ministries

All believers are called to serve and minister, not just the church leadership!

We encourage each member to serve in ministry using the gifts and abilities bestowed by the Lord, inside and outside the church. From prayer, hospitality, worship leading, evangelizing, visiting, hospitality, and even picking up song books and washing dishes, we count on everyone to contribute and serve.

We also know that in our busy world, that simplicity is often key, and that often going to another meeting just isn't practical. We encourage life style ministry outside the church building. We leave time for you to spend time with and disciple your family, and encourage hospitality in the home.

Our congregation supports and is involved in radio ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ, Seattle Union Gospel Mission, Family Life ministry, homeschool activities, and more.

Evergreen is also a sponsor of Lakeside Bible Camp http://lakesidebiblecamp.org. LBC is on the south side of Whidbey Island and has a full program of Bible-centered camps for all ages throughout the year.

We have a strong missions focus. We support missionaries directly in India, Papua New Guinea, Honduras, and indirectly all over the world. We gather with other churches regularly for a Northwest Missionary Focus meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Several of us regularly do street evangelism.

We have a Women's Bible Study that meets on Thursday mornings, another Bible Study that meets on Tuesday monrings at the church, and a monthly Saturday Men's Breakfast. We meet regularly for fellowship in homes, and suppers at church. Contact us for specific meeting information.

We are a praying church. We have a prayer meeting on Wednesday evenings, and set aside time for prayer on Sunday mornings. We also have a prayer chain for special needs.

Children and families are welcome at our church. You may choose to worship as a family, or we have children's church during the 11:00 service. We have a nursery and a "training chapel" for small children. We are sponsoring Child Evangelism Fellowship 5-day clubs over the summer.

Our building is also being used by a large Ukrainian church, and we enjoy the fellowship we have with them.

We are starting "The Truth Project" (see www.thetruthproject.org), a home group discussion of worldviews.
